Painting #3

Early painting techniques were primitive, and the work of artists was viewed as untamed nature. Painters in ancient Egypt and the Syrian city of Mohenjo-Daro used mineral pigments such as ochre, gray and brown for their paintings. They also used brushes made from animal hair for applying paint to the surface they wanted to decorate. The artworks these early civilizations created were called frescoes since they were painted on fresh plaster or Arena sandstone. Over time, painting techniques became more complex and sophisticated as technology and craftsmanship advanced.
